The Game comments from our winner, Brandon T., are "Thornton says Thanks!". Now, I am not directly sure what that means, but it is probably from his barely conscious dilusions! This was truly a never ending game - we went till 2:20 AM - by the end, Brandon was suffering from sleep depravation and was deleriously shouting out things like "All - In" and "Let me Borrow a lighter". ( Brandon stole the game AND my kids lighter, if you can beleive it! ).In all seriousness, Congratulations to Brandon T. on a fine victory. This is going to be a very interesting Tournament of Champions! And speaking of the Tournament of Champions, here are a couple of announcements. Since our next Tournament of Champions is falling on a Holiday Week-end, with many people being out of town, the Tournament of Champions will be held on June 2, 2006.On May 26, 2006, we will have a game, but there will not be a tournament of champions chip for this week. ( We sometimes have off weeks with Holidays - this is one of them.) However, I think we will do the "Head-Hunter" game someone told me about. This is how it will work - On May 26, 2006 game ONLY, you can buy-in for the normal 50.00 amount, plus you can purchase a 5.00 "Head Hunter" chip. When you take someone out of the game, they have to give you 1 head hunter chip (for those who play). Likewise, if you get knocked out, you have to give up 1 "Head Hunter" chip. At the end of the game, each "Head Hunter" chip you have will be worth 5.00. Take note - when you get knocked out, you have to give up 1 chip. If, by the time you get knocked out, you have taken out 3 other players, you still end up with 3 chips worth 15.00! With this little twist, you may not win the Tournament, but might be able to get your buy-in back!I updated the website with a page about the tournament of champions, and I am going to copy it in here so you all have a chance to see it too! No confusions about it this time! The Tournament of Champions!!!This is a little something special we do for our Friday Night Games. Every 10 weeks, we hold a "Tournament of Champions", which is a 75.00 buy-in game. The winners of the previous 10 weeks have an "automatic" seat in that tournament. If some of the previous 10 week winners can not attend, then anyone who has the 75.00 buy-in can play in this Tournament. In addition to the money payout, the Tournament of Champions winner will also get a "Special Prize", compliments of the house. Here is the gotcha - only the top winning player of the previous 10 week winners is eligible for the "Special Prize". If you play in the Tournament of Champions, but did not win once during the previous 10 weeks, you can still win the money payout. There is another gotcha. Simultaneously to the Tournament of Champions game, we will be running a regular tournament. The regular tournament winner gets the first chip to the next 10 week Tournament of Champions. And the final gotcha. This tournament will have 10 or 11 players. If Tim or Sandy (The House Owners) do not win in the previous 10 weeks, then the house will be given a seat and Tim OR Sandy will play, and that will make 11 at the tournament. If EITHER Tim or Sandy win once in the previous 10 weeks, then there will be no house seat. In this event, there will be only 10 players at the Tournament of Champions. The PayoutsWith 10 Players: With 11 Players:First 500.00 First 550.00Second 150.00 Second 175.00Third 75.00 Third 75.00Check out all the scoop and RSVP for this Friday at:http://www.TechnoBiz.net/PokerDon't forget to check out the new page and the Funny Stuff.Remember, this Friday is the Last Chance to get a Chip to the Tournament of Champions on June 2, 2006.Hope to see you Friday and Till Then . . .
