Well, this game had a number of surprises. First, I have to tell you all that my Dad was here visiting - he has never been here before - and never played Texas Hold'em before. He was very impressed with all of you, "especially that Carpet Laying Pollock" that he met here. And he has been bragging that it took a Lawyer to get him out of the game. (George took him out!) I want to thank everyone that was here for showing him a good time - he really had a lot of fun.And of course the game went fine until our "Bubble Boy" decided to throw a coaster at another player. The "throwing" player was told that this was a friendly game and to not do that again! Now, in all fairness to Sandy, she threw the thing in slow motion from half-way across the room, so the receiving player should have ducked. To be fair, I told the recieving player that he was allowed to duck here. Well, that crazy carpet laying pollock, Derrick said that he had slow reaction time - about 20 minutes later he started ducking!Oh, and I almost forgot the most important part of the evening - I WON!!! That is right kiddies, I have 2 seats to the upcoming TOC - so you should all be nice to me and maybe I will give you the extra seat. And remember, I am not above bribery! (Mom said, "Bribery will get you everywhere")Speaking of the TOC, there are only a couple more seats left till the TOC game. And the TOC is was scheduled for May 30, 2008, which is a holiday week-end. So, we are going to have it on June 6, 2008, to allow all the qualifying players to be here. On 5/30/08, we will have a 50.00 game - as normal - and the winner there will be the first seat to the next TOC. On 6/6/08, we will play the TOC and a regular game simultaneously. The regular game that night will be the 2nd seat to the next TOC.I hope to see lots of you here this Friday, May 16, 2008.
