Well the Tournament of Champions was a success - okay, it was played and interestingly enough, with a field of BOHICA newbies and rookies, the "old timers" took the winning seats! The way the sheet reads, John W. won the TOC, with Sandy in second and Baron B. placing! And the quote is "After the veterans knocked out the rookies - it got down to business. And after long thought - chop chop went the pot!" So, when we have the Tournament of Champions for the Tournament of Champions Champions, John W. will have 2 seats! We are going to have to come up with a different name, if I am going to send these emails. ( I hear everyone clapping for John - showing their congratulatory spirits! ) That may have been those pesky voices again, so I will just say Congrats John! And the River counts too! Needless to say, yours truly did not even come within swinging distance of winning the regular tournament! But L.J. Did! Took home the money and the first seat to the next Tournament of Champions. L.J. is a good guy and a good player - the kind I love to see win! ( 'course, I'd rather see ME win - but when I can't, LJ is a good replacement! )And, yes, we will be hosting a large tournament in January with top prizes being seat(s) to a WPT event. I heard about concerns that the winners would not actually go to the WPT as that is a lot of money to hold onto. Well, the plan is to have everyone pay their fee about 1 week prior to the tournament - and the winner(s) seat money is transferred / sent directly to the casino. Then the only question is getting there, which is why we are looking into the Borgata and the WV Poker room - both are in drivable range! And this will be a limited tournament - 60 players ONLY - from people on our email list. This is my thought - I - Tim - do not have a snowballs chance in hell of winning this tournament, but it is worth my 220.00 to have someone I KNOW in a WPT event. Sandy and I will probably go to the tournament as the winner's cheering section. The point being that someone said that they know people who will not play in our cheap games, but would play a big game. Well, I don't want that - I am looking to fill this tournament with our regular players. I email out to about 170 people now, so we should be able to fill it from that list - don't you think? We are on again for Friday, again, of course and you can check it all and RSVP at:http://www.TechnoBiz.net/PokerHope to see LOTS of you on Friday and till then . . .PLAY WELL!!!Tim614-206-5524614-775-9066
