Lets see. They named the game "Thanks Will!", but Will's name is not on the money list. Things that make you go Hmmmm! As a lot of you know, Sandy and I were not here last Friday - so when I asked Sandy what happened here, she couldn't tell me either! (Funny, I thought she knew everything! LOL) What I do know, by the status sheet they left, is that Terri K. won again! Congratulations to Terri - again! So, if you want to stop Terri from winning again, bring your best game and be here this Friday, April 24, 2009 for the 50.00 game of the Month! As some of you know, Sandy and I have played at John B's game in Grove City - for the WPT APL (World Poker Tour - Amateur Poker League) and through that got qualified to play in the National Championship. It was held last Saturday in Orlando, Florida. Thursday and Friday last week, they had a few charity tournaments and the "Big Game" was held on Saturday. Over-all, we had a fantastic time. The WPT put on a very nice, well organized and run tournaments. There were about 10 people there from John's Club and none of us won the "Big Game". John did the best in it and finished 17th. I finished about 49th in the Big Game, however I did manage to make the final table in the Friday Charity event. (I even got a trophy for it, which will be proudly displayed at the BOHICA!) There were over 300 people in all of their tournaments and it was fun to be at tables with people from all over the country! And we are thinking about starting a League of our own here. Don't worry, it won't impact the Friday Game. With this league deal, you don't play for money - just points. Basically, as I understand it, the top 3 or 4 point earners are qualified to go to the Nationals and they have monthly tournaments (Venue Championships) and those winners are qualified to go as well. I made some great contacts with the WPT APL Staff and will be talking with them in the near future, but in the meantime, I would like to get some feedback from you. Would you be interested in playing league tournaments? And as always, you can check out the stats and RSVP for Friday's 50.00 game at:Http://www.TechnoBiz.net/PokerTill then . . .PLAY WELL!!!Tim614-206-5524614-775-9066"100 Years from now, it will not matter how much money I had, where I lived or what my clothes were like.
