Message

The cards were flying hard and heavy Friday at the BOHICA and one of the heaviest took the last seat to the TOC! You guessed it, lil ole Timmy - yours truly - won Friday night!

The two Mikes here gave me the best hands, I think. Early in the cool evening, I was in a hand with Mike and it was just us blinds. Checked it all the way to the river, with A-4-4-A-Q on the board and me - big blind - with a J-6. Old Mike bets 350 and I laugh "Mike, you ain't got no A or 4. I am playing the board." To which Mike replies, "Hey - I bet 350!" I called him just to see what he had, feeling very confident he was playing the board too. Mike had an Ace and a 4! I guess I misread that one!

Then the tens were nuts at the final table. 2 times, 3 players were all-in and 2 of them had pocket 10's! And the 10's held up. Both times.

Now Mike didn't like this one, but the worst suck-out had to be done by me at the final table. Mike had A-10, I had K-Q. With A-10-3 on the flop, Mike puts me all in. I called and then called for my Jack on the river! It was really horrible listening to him whining - asking to be put out of his misery - I felt really bad - but I got over it and kept his chips!

In closing, I will leave you with 2 challenges; should you choose to accept them. 1) Which Mike is Which? 2) Write a better story than mine - but first you have to win!

This Friday, October 9, 2009, is a 20.00 game to be run concurrently with the Tournament of Champions! The TOC has a 75.00 buy-in and there may be seats open, so if you want to play in the big game bring extra money! 7:30 PM start time and you can RSVP and check all the stats at:

Hope lots of you can make it here to witness me taking down the TOC - and witness the inspiration to the next chapter in the continuing saga called "Timmy Wins!"

Till then . . .

PLAY WELL!!!

Tim
