For the first time, I think, the comments say it all. Comments: On a calm and somewhat cool evening, a good looking group of poker players (and Tim) gathered for another test of wills, skills, and endurance. Each player took the battle field of green or red felt with the utmost confidence of emerging a victor. After the weekly ritual of the BOHICA casino, spa, and grille pledge of allegiance, it was time to shuffle up and deal. The dealers took their places at the heads of each table and the cards flew through the air like a spiraling football on any high school football field on any given fall Friday night. The clinking of chips being shuffled and the radio playing still couldn't drown out the lies, misdirections, and overall bs from most players. The sweat dropped to the ground from many players brows. The chip stacks went from one side to the other and back again. Some players got lucky, some got outplayed, and others just got sucked out on on the river (sorry Bev) Players battled their way to final table where the blinds were getting bigger and bigger (settle down Terry aka Randy). At the final table moves were made and chances were taken. Like Edward Scissor Hands carving a shrub into a beautiful sculpture, our very own bald wonder, Baron, shaved his opponents chip stacks down to nothing and sent them home crying. After the dust settled and tears of defeat dried up, one man stood tall as the victor of the evening. Sure there was some luck and sure there were some bad moves that worked out in his favor, but he is not second guessing the outcome. So until next time may all your cards be live and your pots be monsters. Nicely Played and written, Baron B. Hope to see lots of you here Friday, September 11, 2009 at 7:30 PM.
